Solution for Frayed Backpack Shoulder Straps
Backpack Shoulder Straps solution from bag manufacturer
Backpack shoulder strap breakage is usually caused by overtly short production times and sewing too close to the edge of materials, resulting in weak stitching. Another cause may be thick back straps with too many layers, causing inside layers to be unaligned and missed during sewing, leading to poor stitching. The bag strap may also be subject to excessively heavy loads or unintended usage, prompting wear, frays, and tears.
To provide increased comfort to end users, paddings (foam) have become thicker. However, thick shoulder straps (body material + foam + sandwich mesh) cause increased difficulty for workers and lengthening production time. Workers may also miss stitching inside layers and resulting in misalignment. To combat this, we shave off EPE material near edges in an angle, promoting easier alignment and stitching and faster production times. When using trimming webbing, the strap layers are first aligned and stitched, then a second stitch is performed when the trimming webbing is sewn on top of the strap layers. Although manufacturing time is increased, products are more durable and aesthetic, thus this method is encouraged.
To decrease costs and clear stock, some factories often use old materials instead of purchasing new materials. As such, some of the old materials may have deteriorated, leading to fraying. We recommend our customer to use new materials for high quality products.

Baseball bats, helmets, cleats, one to two baseball gloves, a few baseballs, etc. It's a challenge to be able to fit these items of different sizes and shapes into one backpack. Because baseball is a team sport, players may need to carry team items. The upper layer carries the baseball helmet, but we also designed for the upper and middle layers' separator to be foldable to create more space for storage (about 24L). The middle compartment of the bag can store baseball gloves or mitts. The bottom compartment stores cleats or dirty or wet clothes, and the two holes serve to dissipate odor.
