Solution for ripped Front Pocket
bag solutions from DELLY Taiwan
Due to competitive pricing, factories often use materials with insufficient den values and workers may also accidentally stitch too close to fabric edges. Both cases lead to easily torn flat pockets. Especially, there is a piece of Velcro on the pocket's open edge, user will open Velcro pocket harder to tear this pocket from edge easily. While tears may not necessarily inhibit the bag's performance, they significantly decrease the bag’s aesthetics.
We developed the most cost effective solution by adding a strengthening layer between the flat pocket layer and body layer. An extended tab from the strengthening layer wraps around the body layer then stitching is performed. This creates four layers for support instead of two while not affecting the aesthetics of the bag.
